Hello Defolders! We’re excited to announce our **first joint game jam with [Minit Games](https://minit.games/)** with cash prizes! 🎉 ![minit_plus_defold_game_jam_1](https://forum-defold-uploads.b-cdn.net/original/3X/1/1/119e91c114281c81b9e5a5b2892d846842bfb359.jpeg) Following [our partnership announcement](https://forum.defold.com/t/minit-games-partners-with-the-defold-foundation/83332), we’re kicking things off with a new challenge: **create a small, instantly playable game with Defold, publish it on Minit, and compete for cash prizes!** Minit Games is a platform for bite-sized HTML5 games that players can discover and play instantly by scrolling through a feed, just like on social media. Games are typically focused around quick sessions, making it a perfect place to experiment with simple, creative, and highly replayable ideas. ## 📅 Schedule The jam runs for **2 weeks** , followed by community voting and the announcement of winners, starts this Wednesday 28. October at 12:00 CET (UTC+1). Full agenda: - 2026-10-28T11:00:00Z - Game jam starts! Submissions will be open and theme will be revealed. - 2026-11-10T23:00:00Z - Submission deadline. Submissions will be reviewed and checked for eligibility. - 2026-11-11T23:00:00Z - Community voting starts! Players will discover, play, and vote for their favourite entries directly in the Minit app. - 2026-11-22T23:00:00Z - Final judging and selection of the Best Game by the organizers. - 2026-11-23T23:00:00Z - Winners announced! 🏆 ## 🎯 Theme: - will be revealed on jam start - We’ll make it so that it suits most of the ideas and drives you towards games that suit Minit well 😉 ## 🏆 Awards & voting There will be **cash prizes for the best games**! During the voting phase, submitted games will be available for players to discover and vote on in the Minit Games app across several award categories. More details about the awards, categories, and prize distribution will be shared directly on the official event page. ## 🛠 How to participate 1. **Create your game with Defold** - solo or with a team, following the event rules. 2. **Make it Minit-ready** - your game should be a lightweight, portrait-oriented HTML5 experience designed for touch controls. 3. **Integrate the Minit SDK** - use the official Defold integration to communicate with the Minit platform. 4. **Upload your game to Minit Studio** - package your HTML5 build and submit your entry through the game jam event page before the deadline. 5. **Play and vote!** - discover what other developers have created during the voting phase. The game must meet Minit’s platform requirements. The maximum upload size is 50 MB, although smaller builds are strongly recommended.
