I mean, I can only zoom in and out and that’s it.
I had a similar issue
Thanks You know, i’ve thought that I tried all keys… except alt … haha
I thought about posting this up on the forum but I didn’t want to look stupid XD I guess I’m not the only one with this problem
Maybe we should put these instructions inside the editor somewhere. Perhaps as a dismissible help popup or text in the scene editor?
Making the alt key optional for middle mouse panning would help a lot. Would be like Unity then in the viewport navigation (docs say alt+middle like maya, but you don’t really need to), and people are used to that. Also: You can drink coffee while panning.
The Controls can be set in File -> Preferences -> Defold -> Scene Editor -> Mouse Type
The problem is that the navigation is supposed to be like this for three-button-controls:
PAN: Alt+Right Mouse Button
ZOOM: Alt+Middle Button
But it is the other way around for me. I need to pan with the middle mouse button -.-
At this point, the doc is simply wrong. (no I did not change any settings at all)
And my biggest Problem: I wanna work on a laptop. I HAVE NO MIDDLE BUTTON!!
Meaning I cannot pan at all -.-
The one-button-controls are not explained at all anywhere.
I must say the documentation on this engine is very weak and often contains mistakes (the mistakes are not unusual for game engines, though), and I have just started using it…
Have you read this? http://www.defold.com/manuals/scene-editing/
If you spot mistakes in the documentation, don’t hesitate to point out where they are and we’ll fix them. Same thing if you spot some undocumented thing.
Alt + right click doesn’t work with mouse pad on linux. Is it possible to do something?
Alt+left click should work.
