(Describe the bug or issue)
First of all, this only happens in full screen mode (OSX). When I open my project I’m asked to select a branch. I have not created any branches yet and, therefor I press the “New branch” button. When I’m not in full screen mode this window pops up but, when I’m in full screen mode it doesn’t. I’m still able to create a branch by writing and pressing enter but without the window popping up.
(How can we reproduce the bug?)
Enter full screen mode, open a project, when in the “Select branch” window press “New brach”.
(What platform are you running on?)
OSX El Capitan
Version 10.11
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014)
Processor: 1,4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1600MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
Thank you for the bug report. A ticket has been created in our issue tracker (DEF-1602).
I know this topic is pretty old, but I just encountered this bug so it’s still an issue. I wanted to add some extra info that’s not in the original bug report.
The window is created and does pop up, but it appears behind the “Open Project” window. When dragging the “Open Project” window, the “Create new branch” window moves in tandem, so it remains hidden behind the first window. If an app on another display is focused, clicking back into Defold will cause the “Create new branch” window to move to the front, but attempting to focus the text area within causes it to move behind the “Open Project” window again. However, it is possible to drag the “Create new branch” window while it’s exposed so that it can be seen.
As the original report indicated, the “Create new branch” window does automatically retain focus when Defold is the active application, so it’s still possible to enter text and use the return key to submit.
