Using shift to align in scene editor resets Z layer to 0 in some circumstances

If I grab a game object and hold shift when it is in front of another game object with a lower Z co-ordinate, it sets the game object that i’m currently dragging to 0 when I release. Any ideas why this happens? Any way of stopping it? It’s a major pain in the neck!
(i’m adding this under bugs because I assume it’s not desired behaviour)

That sure sounds like a bug. We will most likely not do anything about this now that the new editor is so close to release (and let’s make sure this doesn’t happen in the new editor @Erik_Angelin and co!)
