Share your GDC contest builds!

Hi. I made this thread as a centralised place for people that want to share their playable builds post-GDC contest. @Tomires’s idea.

Post a link to a playable build of your game along with (optionally) a short description of the game and / or a screenshot.

Here: I’ll start:

Interrogation - Noir psychological questioning simulator with a moralising twist

Here is mine.

It’s a battle prototype for a future turn-based RPG designed to teach the player Japanese.

I have been casually working on design docs for about a year, but haven’t really started implementing stuff until very recently. One could say that the GDC competition finally lit a fire under my and my colleague’s respective asses. The game is a focus of both of our undergraduate theses and we intend to finish a complete prototype that includes overworld and all gameplay mechanics in late May or early June.

Funny, this is my story, too. I found out too late about the competition, decided to still give it a try.

Diyu is a mobile roguelike-runner with the Pac-Man mechanics and in setting of „hell“ from the Chinese mythology. The player passes the levels-labyrinths trying not to be caught by monsters, which differ from each other with the unique behavior. Unlike Pac-Man, the emphasis is on the frightening atmosphere: for example, the player sees the monsters only when they are in the field of view of the protagonist.

Oooh! I love the graphics! The game plays really well and I love how you slowly introduce new things to avoid. Well balanced.
