I have the same problem.

openSUSE Linux connected by ethernet
moto e2 android 5.1 wifi and usb cable

editor and dmengine version: 1.2.117

“Waiting for connection …” in dmengine
In Defold editor “Target” only “new local engine”

well I discovered that the openSUSE firewall blocks the connection, the new question is:

what ports do I have to open in the firewall to make it work?

We use SSDP to discover devices. SSDP multicasts to UDP port 1900.

Once a device has been discovered I believe the host/pc sends data to the device on http://<device_ip>:8001.

The web profiler is as you probably already know accessible on http://<device_ip>:8002.
